1. Team Requirement
• This is a Team-of-2 event.
• If a registered team does not arrive with one of their registered teammates, their team entry is forfeited.
• Last-minute substitutions may be permitted by the Match Director before competition day.
• While we will make best endeavours, Tier-1 cannot guarantee that a substitute teammate will be available from the list of registered athletes.
2. Cancellations & Withdrawals
• More than 4 weeks before the event: Eligible for a refund minus a 20% administration fee.
• Within 4 weeks of the event: No refunds will be issued.
3. Disqualifications (DQ)
3.1 Tier-1 reserves the right to issue an immediate Stage Disqualification (SDQ) or Match Disqualification (DQ) for any of the following:
• Teams who fail to meet workout time limits for 2-consecutive stages. The time-limits are stipulated prior to commencing each stage in the stage brief.
• Unsafe Practices: Any behaviour that endangers oneself, other competitors, staff, or spectators, including but not limited to negligent firearm handling, failure to follow range commands, disregard for fitness safety standards, or any breach of local firearms or safety laws.
• Conduct Outside the Spirit of the Competition: Any actions that undermine the integrity, fairness, or intended challenge of the event. This includes, but is not limited to, deliberate rule manipulation, dishonesty in performance or grading, deliberate interference with other teams, or failure to uphold sportsmanship and mutual respect.
• Disrespectful or Disruptive Behavior:
Abusive language, intimidation, aggressive behavior towards staff, officials, competitors, or spectators, or any conduct that brings disrepute to the event or its partners.
• Failure to Follow Instructions: Ignoring event official directions, refusing to comply with fitness or firearms protocols, or failure to follow emergency procedures when directed.
• Substance Abuse: The use of alcohol or prohibited substances before or during competition activities. Competitors suspected of impairment will be immediately removed from the event.
3.2 Disqualification Decisions:
• All disqualification decisions are made at the sole discretion of the Match Director and/or Event Officials.
• All Match Disqualification decisions are final and no refunds will be issued in the event of a disqualification.
4. Non-Licensed Competitors – Safety & Clearance Requirements
Non-licensed competitors must provide:
• A National Police Clearance Certificate (issued within 3 months of the event date); and
• Proof of completion of pre-requisite shooting qualification.
Failure to meet these requirements by the deadline will result in forfeiture of entry fees.
5. Event Rescheduling & Cancellation
• If external factors require the event to be rescheduled (e.g., weather, range closure), competitors will be offered a credit or refund.
• Competitors unable to attend a rescheduled event may transfer their entry to another eligible athlete. Entries are otherwise non-refundable.
6. Position Transfers
• Competitor entries are transferable to another eligible athlete before the event.
• All transfers must be communicated to the event organisers.
7. Failure to Complete Shooting Stages
• If a shooting stage is not completed within the designated time limit, only points achieved within the time will count.
• No refunds for incomplete shooting stages.
8. Travel Costs
• Tier-1 Games will not refund or reimburse any costs associated with travel, accommodation, or related expenses incurred to attend the event.
• Travel insurance is strongly recommended.
9. Regulatory Compliance
• Refunds will only be provided where required under Australian Consumer Law (ACCC regulations).
10. I confirm that I have read, understood, and agree to the Tier-1 Games Refund and Transfer Policy.
11. I acknowledge that:
• Refunds are only available for cancellations made more than 4 weeks before the event and are subject to a 20% administration fee.
• No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 4 weeks of the event, match disqualifications, failure to meet fitness or safety requirements, or incomplete stages.
• Travel, accommodation, and other personal expenses are non-refundable under any circumstances.
• If transferring my entry to another athlete, I am responsible for ensuring the substitute meets all eligibility, safety, and licensing requirements, and that all requested documentation is provided before competition day.
• I accept that any refund or transfer request must comply with the published Tier-1 Games Terms and Conditions and applicable regulations.
• By selecting 'I agree' below and by submitting this form, I agree to these terms without exception.
By selecting 'I agree' below, I acknowledge that participation in the Tier-1 Games events, including but not limited to the workout and shooting phases, involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:
• Physical injuries such as muscle strains, fractures, and joint dislocations.
• Firearm-related risks including accidental discharge, hearing damage, and impact injuries.
• Environmental hazards such as wet or slippery surfaces and adverse weather conditions.
• Equipment malfunction or improper use resulting in potential injury.
• Dehydration, exhaustion, or heat-related illnesses due to intense physical exertion.
• Potential medical emergencies requiring immediate medical assistance.
I confirm that I:
1. Understand the risks associated with participating in this event and voluntarily assume all responsibility for any injury, loss, or damage sustained.
2. Have been provided with, read, and understand the Tier-1 Games Safety Policy, Safety Management Plan, and Safety Briefings.
3. Am in good health and medically fit to participate, free from any condition that may increase my risk of injury.
4. Will comply with all event rules, safety instructions, and the directions of event staff, including judges, range officers, and medical personnel.
3. WAIVER, RELEASE & INDEMNITY
3.1 Liability Waiver
To the fullest extent permitted by Australian law, I:
• Waive all rights to make claims against Tier-1, its event organizers, directors, employees, contractors, venue hosts, and affiliates arising from any injury, loss, or damage suffered during the Tier-1 Games, except where negligence by Tier-1 is proven under Australian Consumer Law.
• Understand that Tier-1 has taken all reasonable precautions to minimize risks through a comprehensive Enterprise Risk Management Strategy, and that despite these measures, risks remain.
• Agree to release and discharge Tier-1 and associated parties from any legal responsibility for injuries, illness, or property damage incurred due to participation.
3.2 Indemnification Clause
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tier-1, its employees, event officials, contractors, and affiliates against any legal claims, damages, or costs incurred as a result of my participation, including but not limited to:
• Personal injury claims made by third parties.
• Costs associated with medical treatment and emergency response.
• Damage to event equipment or facilities caused by my actions.
4. MEDICAL TREATMENT & INSURANCE
• I authorize Tier-1 medical personnel to administer first aid or emergency medical treatment if required.
• I understand that Tier-1 does not provide personal accident insurance, and I am solely responsible for my own health and medical coverage.
• I acknowledge that if I am unable to continue competing due to injury or a medical emergency, Tier-1 reserves the right to withdraw me from the competition.
5. FIREARM SAFETY COMPLIANCE (For Shooting Phase Participants)
I acknowledge and agree to:
• Strictly follow all firearm safety rules, as outlined in the Tier-1 Games Safety Policy and Safety Briefings.
• Submit to pre-heat firearm safety inspections by Range Officers and understand that failure to comply will result in disqualification.
• Wear mandatory hearing protection while inside live-fire zones.
• Accept full responsibility for my firearm handling, including safe storage and transportation.
• I understand that any violation of firearm safety protocols will result in immediate removal from the competition and potential legal consequences under Australian firearm laws.
6. AGREEMENT
I acknowledge that:
• I have read and understand this waiver.
• I voluntarily accept all risks associated with participating in the Tier-1 Games.
• I understand that this waiver affects my legal rights and that I am signing it voluntarily.
• I am legally capable of signing this waiver (or have a parent/guardian sign on my behalf if under 18).

BRISBANE EXPERIENCE DETAILS
Time: 8am to 1pm

Place: City of Brisbane Pistol Club. 1485 Old Cleveland Rd, Belmont 4153.
Format: Team (Pairs) Event
By June 1st – Submit Your Shooting Drills
All participants must provide proof of completing two basic shooting exercises that demonstrate:
· Gun handling
· Spatial awareness
· Accuracy

If you don’t hold a handgun licence:
You still have two clear pathways:
· Qualification 1: V3 PKS – You can complete this using a gel-blaster (where legal). Record yourself performing the drill to standard and send it in.
· Qualification 2: 6 Aces – This must be completed with a real handgun at a licensed pistol club.
If you're not using the City of Brisbane Pistol Club (COBPC), just film yourself performing the drill to standard and send it to us.
If you're using COBPC, call them directly on (07) 3398 8700. They'll be running group sessions in the lead-up to the event.
Teammate Reminder
All participants are encouraged to nominate a training partner for the event. They must also register individually and list you on their form.

Entry Fees & Ammunition
We're waiting on final details from regulatory bodies, but here’s what you can expect:
· Entry fees will be comparable to major fitness events like Hyrox or CrossFit
· Ammunition will be supplied at cost
· Optional coaching packages will be available for extra prep
Licensed Handgun Owners
Pending final regulatory approvals, you will be required to use our pistols and purchase a cost-price ammunition package. If anything changes, we’ll update you immediately.
Spectators Welcome
Spectator access will be available via online registration soon. A $5 donation will go to our partner charities. More details will follow via email and social media.

Final Notes
· No firearms licence is required to attend.
· We ask about your licence status during registration to help us tailor your training and gear access.
· Completion of the two drills is mandatory to participate.
